This little Western flick is a fictionalized version of the struggle to build the Kansas Pacific Railway in the 1860s just before the Civil War began. I enjoyed this movie, just don’t use it as a real history lesson.

This Western movie is about a town in need of water raising up enough money to buy a dam only to have it get stolen before the dam’s completion. To get enough money to finish the dam, Allison suggests all the people sell their portion of stock in the dam, which seems fishy to Roy.
A 15 year old orphan played by Brandon De Wilde comes upon a small town where he struggles to live and feel at home. A couple people in the town take him in and help him though, and he eventually becomes a part of the community. He even trains horses for the upcoming annual race.
