There is an archery tournament coming up in which Robin Hood has had his name entered. The only problem is, Robin Hood is away visiting friends at the time. Marian, selected in Robin’s absence, tries to fool everyone and win the tourney in his stead.
The Adventures of Robin Hood was a very well made and long running 1950s show from the UK that spanned 143 episodes. It starred Richard Greene as Robin Hood along with all the other familiar Robin Hood characters.

The Sheriff’s plans to raise money for Prince John is a type of fixed lottery and it seems foolproof, yet Robin Hood finds a way to thwart him yet again.
Robin Hood 111 – The Minstrel - 1958
A minstrel’s song that Robin hears gives him some info that helps him and his outlaws foils a plot by Prince John who is hoping to form an alliance with the Prince of Aragon.
Robin Hood 110 – The Fire - 1958
Having cornered Little John and Derwent in a cave, the Sheriff orders his men to smoke them out. From the flames of defeat appears new hope – and the Sherifff will eventually have to seek Robin’s help.
Robin Hood 109 – The Genius - 1958
Nicodemus is a master mathematician who is seeking entrance to the Abbey of Southwall to escape Prince John, who wants him to create a deadly weapon. When he can’t get into Southwall, he seeks refuge in Sherwood with the outlaws.
Robin Hood 108 – Elixir of Youth - 1958
Sir Boland has promised the hand of his ward, Melissa, to Sir Louis out of pure desperation for money. Tuck hears wind of this and he and Robin make a different set of plans.
