How is this all free? What’s the catch? Is it illegal?
In the US (I don’t know about other countries) it is totally legal to download or watch these movies, and there isn’t really a catch. I do have some (hopefully) non-obtrusive ads on the site, but otherwise I offer up these movies completely free to anyone. I can do this because none of movies I host on here are copyrighted by anybody, they are in the Public Domain. That means I don’t pay anyone royalties to serve them, and I don’t pass that cost on to you. I do, however, pay to host all the videos and radio on the site myself, so if you see something in an ad that looks even remotely interesting, you would only be helping me keep this site up by checking it out.
While I do check to see if a title I’m putting up here is in the Public Domain, that doesn’t mean the internet sources I find are completely reliable. If you know or have suspicion that something on here isn’t in the Public Domain, do please contact me and I will happily remove it.
