Today I added the first few episodes of a really great audio documentary series Biographies in Sound. Biographies in Sound started airing in 1954, each episode is an hour long and documents some really interesting people from then and before. I would highly recommend this series, even if you don’t know who the subject is (especially) they do a good job of making it interesting, having close friends and relatives of each subject, critics that talk about their achievements, and audio excerpts from the people themselves. What you end up with is a really personal perspective of each subject and a higher awareness of where they fit into the weave of today’s events.
