Shoot To Kill - 1947

A former gangster Dixie Logan tries to prove his innocence when a crooked commissioner frames him for a crime he actually didn’t commit. His wife helps by getting a job for the corrupt District Attorney to fish for evidence. Dixie’s wife in turn gets help from a reporter, who ends up developing some strong feelings for her. As you can see the plot gets pretty messy, but the ending comes with a twist.
