Driller Killer - 1979

Here is a surprisingly gory and raunchy old movie where an artist slowly goes insane while trying to live with his two girlfriends, pay his late rent, and not get his commissioned painting done because an obnoxious band WILL NOT stop practicing downstairs.

He shows he has a problem with homeless people from the beginning, but later this quirk grows to insanity and causes him to go out and start killing derelicts with a power drill.
