An adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s story for early television. This isn’t really the best adaptation, but it is really cool to see Bela Lugosi (who plays the Fortunato) doing early tv, even in the bad health (plus addiction) he was in at the time.
Bela Lugosi stars in this serial turned made-for-tv-movie complete with mad scientists, Lugosi hamming it up, a crazy robot, and all the other reasons you would ever want to watch a movie like this. Does knowing the story really help you make your decision to watch?
Here is a nice little crime drama and semi-documentary about the U.S. Treasury going after counterfeiters, it has Lloyd bridges in it.
