An American, Frank Pryor, comes to visit London after Word War II to look up an old sweetheart of his that lives there. While coming off the flight, a man he’s standing next is slain by a rifle in the hands of an unknown assassin with a limp. Later, while with his old lover Pauline French, Frank finds out she had been closely associated with the man who was killed, but doesn’t want to give up any details. Now Frank finds himself mixed up in a murder and a spy ring, and that his old sweetheart has been getting into some trouble.
